Meg Walters, Hawkesbury Art Prize

We are pleased to announce that Meg Walters has received a commendation award in the Hawkesbury Art Prize for her painting Moon Shaped Pool. Having initially completed the painting in January of this year, Meg was drawn to revise the work at a later date, painting in a new layer of memory and emotions shortly before the competition deadline. There is an intoxicating sense of adventure within Meg’s surrealistic painting; the magic of different landscapes and experiences have been conflated to create a place of fantasy and escapism.
