Meg Walters speaks to 'Piles Creek (A Recollection)': "Painted entirely from memory, I investigate the act of remembering an environment. The result is a painting that is both real and imagined, dreamlike in its quality. By accessing the ineffable realm of the subconscious, I explore the confluence of memory, identity and our connection to environment. I observe how the overlap of these themes shape us and mould our human experience.”

Recognised artwork - Piles Creek (A Recollection), Oil on Linen, Original, 135 x 215 cm.
