Inga Dalrymple has been named a finalist in this year's Kedumba Drawing Award for her work on paper, Twelve Trees. Rendered in coloured pencil across 12 sheets of A5 paper. Twelve Trees is a quietly ambitious piece which is built from restraint and patience which is evident in her process. Each sheet tells its own story, however when together read as a unified story of stillness of nature, specifically trees closely observed over time.
The Kedumba Drawing Award is one of Australia’s most respected prizes for works on paper, with this year’s finalists selected by judge Patrick Shirvington. The finalist exhibition runs from 22 August 27th September at The Kedumba Gallery in Wentworth Falls, NSW.
