Paintings: Original works by Australian and international artists

Otomys presents contemporary paintings by established, mid-career and emerging Australian and International artists. From expressive abstraction to luminous figurative work, the collection spans a breadth of practice, materiality and intention.

Original paintings at Otomys are selected as much for their physical presence as their artistic intention or image. Some carry the weight of built surface, thickly worked, impasto grounds where paint accumulates into high relief. Others are delicate and layered, translucent fields of colour, both reward close up viewing. What unites Otomys artists is a commitment to painting as a material and narrative based practice, rather than merely a pictorial one.

Each work is carefully selected for its rigour, emotional resonance and lasting relevance to a contemporary art collection.

We welcome enquiries from collectors in Melbourne, Sydney and beyond.
