Anna Dudek Residency at Q Station, Manly

Anna Dudek recently completed a residency at Q Station, Manly. Q Station works in conjunction with Les Sculptures Refusées to award an Artist in Residency to the Judges Choice winner of the previous years LSR recipient. The residency aims to provide the artist with time to reflect on their practice in a peaceful and beautiful Australian National Park setting. Once the North Head Quarantine Station, this 190-year-old site is said to host everything from ghosts to native animals. Over the month of April, Anna explored the unique and complex history of Q Station whilst also immersing herself within its pristine natural landscape. Her polychromatic sculptures engage the surrounding architecture, viewer and environment, capturing and reflecting spectral light.
