A sincere congratulations to Caroline Cornelius who has been shortlisted in the Signature Art Prize.
The Signature Art Prize (London, UK) was established by gallery Directors Isobel Beauchamp and Elinor Olisa in 2006 to celebrate and identify emerging artists’ ‘Signature Style’. They define an artist’s ‘signature style’ as being “that which makes an artist unique; a combination of process and method, contributed to by the artist’s own personality which results in a piece that is unique and specific to them.”
The 2025 shortlist reflects a diverse and bold cohort of artists tackling contemporary themes; from identity, memory, and materiality to urgent social and environmental questions, with originality and technical finesse. Selected by a panel of esteemed judges, the shortlisted works represent some of the most exciting emerging voices in contemporary art today.
“We’re deeply impressed by the standard of submissions this year,” said Jahnai Hall, Art Prize Coordinator. “The range of ideas and quality of execution is truly inspiring—it’s a privilege to support such promising talent at this stage in their careers.”
The 50 shortlisted works will now be reviewed and judged with the 20 Finalist Artists Announced on 29th April 2025.
Celebrated as one of the only art prizes dedicated exclusively to artists currently in education or within three years of graduating, the Signature Art Prize continues to uncover and elevate new talent working across a broad spectrum of disciplines. This year’s shortlist spans Painting, Sculpture, Photography + Film, and Drawing + Printmaking, showcasing the breadth, originality and energy of the next generation of artists.”
