We're delighted to share that Dapeng Liu has been named a finalist in this year's Lester Prize with his portrait, Guido.
The Lester Prize is one of Australia's most highly regarded portraiture awards, with the 40 selected finalists exhibiting their work at the Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip, alongside a regional tour and an accompanying community engagement program of workshops and artist talks. The award drew an extraordinary 1,177 entries this year, making the shortlist of 40 finalists a genuine milestone.
The finalist works, including Guido, will be on exhibition from 10 October - 29 November at the WA Museum Boola Bardip in Perth.
